Change is New Hope

September 2012 is democratic month for SMAN 10 Malang Campus II Tlogowaru. This election is the first for SMAN 10 Malang Campus II Tlogowaru. Previous time, head of dormitory council is selected by president house. Son Ardhinata S.M and friends has proven themselves. Now, the elected is different, all captain houses grade 11 be the committee. They are setting new rules for all candidates to choose the best one. Each houses choose one representative to join this election. The election divided into three part, first is interview, second is give faith tag, third is free campaign.

All candidates interviewed by president house about their vision, mision, motto, and something about dormitory. Each candidates must complete some requirements like healthy letter  from dormitory clinic and letter from dormitory administrative that indicating the candidates not have something bad during in dormitory. After all requirements are accepted by committee then give it to president house as materials for interviewed the candidates. Then, base on the result of interviewed president house choose 6 best candidates  without committee intervention.

As can as possible the committe, announce the best six candidates and share the faith tag cards to all students and give two days for students to choose their best candidate by giving it to them. After a specified time the committe count all faith tag than choose three most. The candidate cannot copied the faith tag cards because it has special stamp. So its real their effort. Next step that will be faced for three candidates is free campaign. They will choose their vice and success team to support their campaign. Last phase will be held two days. All candidates promote themselves creatively but still in committee’s control to prevent unwanted things happen.

The election achive its climax when Public Skill session where all candidates answered the dormitory society’s question. So many supporter screamed in the light house show all supporters emotion. When the vote session, it trough smoothly. Process system using house system from tenth grader to twelfth grader. The committe was not work hard to set tenth grader, may be they are so sleepy because it past 9 p.m. After the voting process is finished at 11 p.m. A part of students back to dorm and others are stay there to prove the counting process not objectively. A couple with number 3 won this election who has 12 more voice card. Great job.
